Developing a positive mindset


A couple of methods I have used to develop a positive mindset.

  1. Visualise- Before going to bed, go over in your mind of what you want to achieve and how you are going to do it, so when you wake up you have some direction.

  1. Self talk- When you get up in the morning, look in the mirror and tell yourself that you are awesome and you are going to have an excellent day.

  1. Inspiration- Use someone you know or some famous who have done something amazing and tell yourself it is possible.

  1. Laugh and smile- Give it a go.

  1. What goes around comes around- Do something nice for someone else.


A quote that I saw the other day that I liked was ‘running is 90% mental and 10% physical’. I fully agree with this, currently I am having a running competition with 2 of my friends to see who could run the most KM in the month of October. I have had to develop my mental strength and mindset to stand at the top of the leader board.
